K.K.M. Koya Musliyar was a visionary Islamic scholar, educational reformer, and distinguished public speaker. He dedicated his life to spreading authentic sacred knowledge and uplifting rural communities through education.

A polyglot and master of Islamic sciences, he possessed an exceptional, profound grasp of Arabic, Urdu, and Malayalam, allowing him to communicate classical religious texts with unprecedented clarity to both scholars and the general public.

In 1974, Koya Usthad embarked on his teaching mission by starting his first traditional Palli Dars in his hometown of Kolathur. He subsequently expanded his teaching circles to Pavangad, as well as Ramanthali and Chapparapadavu in Kannur.

Beyond traditional classroom instruction, he actively worked to empower local youth and guide community members, successfully reviving the region’s spiritual awareness and religious spirit.

In 1987, he established Darunnajath Arabic College as a traditional Palli Dars at Koonanchery in the Balussery Panchayath of Kozhikode district, creating a permanent sanctuary of learning that continues to nurture hundreds of scholars.
